Touching upon Iran-Australia’s amicable collaboration in regional issues, tackling terrorist groups in particular, Vahaji stressed the need for fostering mutual ties and exchanging technical and judicial delegations, IRNA reported.

Referring to the adverse conditions of Iranian refugees in Nauru, Manus Island and Papua New Guinea camps which are under control of Australian government, he urged Canberra to brief Tehran about its latest investigations on the exact cause of death of several Iranian refugees there.

Describing Iran as a pivotal country in the region, Keenan, underscored that Canberra attaches great importance to expansion of all-out ties with Tehran.

Given the friendly relations between the Australian and Iranian police forces, he added the exchange of technical delegations would pave the way for reinforcement of ties between the two nations.
