Iran, South Africa ink MoU on defense
EghtesadOnline: Iranian Minister of Defense and Logistics of the Armed Forces Brigadier-General Hossein Dehqan and South African Defence Minister Mapisa Nqakula inked a military and defensive memorandum of understanding on defense.
Iranian and South African defense ministers signed the cooperation document on Tuesday in Pretoria.
According to the MoU, Iranian and South African defense ministries will exchange experience in fighting the organized crimes, IRNA reported.
Establishment of maritime security and holding training courses are other topics of the cooperation document.
Speaking to reporters after signing the deal, Dehqan and Nqakula underlined cooperation for consolidation of peace, stability and security in the region and the world.
They emphasized working together for full-scale and decisive fight against terrorism.
Dehqan arrived in Pretoria on Tuesday at the head of a high-ranking defense-military delegation upon the invitation of South African defense minister.
