Al-Hilal FC selects Muscat to host Iranian football teams

An Arabic sports website called Kooora reported that the decision came after the city hosted a number of matches between Al-Hilal and Iranian scoccer teams.

The fact that a large number of Al-Hilal fans are residing in Muscat also contributed in picking the city as a host, IRNA reported. 

Al-Hilal Club is expected to announce the decision to the Asian Football Confederation in its future correspondences.

Al-Hilal together with Iran's Persepolis FC, Al-Rayyan SC of Qatar, Al Wahda FC, Al-Wehdat SC, Bengaluru FC are in the 4th group of 2017 Asian Champion League which will start work January 24, 2017.
