EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani's recent visit to Yerevan, and MoU signed with Armenia will lead to development of ties, Iran's Ambassador to Armenia Kazem Sajjadi said on Tuesday.
Sajjadi congratulated the Armenian nation on birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH), saying that the two countries have excellent relations in various fields including politics, culture and arts and economic development is also on the agenda, IRNA reported.
The two countries should make further efforts to help implementation of memoranda of understanding and agreements reached during Rouhani's recent visit to Yerevan soon, he said.
He further noted that now a suitable atmosphere has been created for further development of cooperation which should be used optimally.
In addition to talks with his Armenian counterpart Serge Sarkisian President last week, five agreements were also signed during Rouhani's one-day official visit to the country, which can raise the value of economic exchanges $300 million higher.
The deals revolve on joint use of Nourdouz-Meghri Crossing, cooperation on emergency situations, inter-museum, tourism and sports.
The two countries ties encompass various arenas such as energy, transportation, environment protection, culture and science and they also have broader programs to further boost their relations.
