Rouhani: Expansion of Iran-Morocco relations to the benefit of both sides
EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday that expansion of relations and cooperation between Tehran and Rabat will be to the benefit of both nations and the entire region.
President Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting with the new Moroccan Ambassador to Tehran Hassan Hami.
Expansion of commercial, economic and political relations will be to the benefit of both nation as well as countries in the region, President Rouhani said adding that the two sides should make use of existing potentials to bolster and broaden mutual cooperation, IRNA reported.
In addition to commercial and economic relations, the two countries can also broaden cultural and scientific relations, President Rouhani said.
President Rouhani said that it is expected to witness expansion of cooperation with all countries in the region with Morocco in particular to help restore stability and security among Islamic states.
New Moroccan ambassador for his part described relations between the two countries very amicable, saying that Morocco attaches importance to Iran's role to help resolve the regional and international issues through dialogue and diplomacy.
The ambassador appreciated the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran to help resolve the regional issues mainly those of Islamic countries in North Africa.
