Iran no longer after sole acquisition of petchem knowhow: Official
EghtesadOnline: Iran no longer intends to solely acquire technical know-how for its petrochemical industries, says Esmaiil Qanbari Managing Director of Research and Technology Center at the National Iranian Petrochemical Company.
“We are after indigenizing the technology acquired for our petrochemical industries, and we are not at all looking for to solely acquire foreign technologies,” Qanbari said.
He said that to do this the Iranian petrochemical companies have entered talks and signed memorandums of understanding with international petrochemical research companies in other countries, including Germany, France, Italy and Norway, according to IRNA.
“We hope to acquire and indigenize the technology to develop the catalysts we need for the industry and to improve procedures,” he said.
