Pres. Rouhani congratulates Turkmen counterpart on re-election
EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani, in a message on Tuesday, congratulated Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on re-election to the post.
In his message, Rouhani noted that Iran sees Turkmenistan as an ally and neighboring country and is ready to boost cooperation in all areas.
According to IRNA, the president expressed certainty that Iran and Turkmenistan will witness further expansion of ties at President Berdimuhamedow’s new tenure in office.
He wished heath and success for the Turkmen president and prosperity for the Turkmen nation.
Berdimuhamedow gained 97.69% of the votes cast in presidential elections to become Turkmenistan’s president for a third consecutive term.
