Supreme Leader pays tribute to late US Muslim leader
EghtesadOnline: Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Malcolm X, the American Muslim leader, at the beginning of his speech to inaugurate the 6th International Conference in Support of Palestinian Intifada (Uprising) in Tehran.
Malcolm X, also known as el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz, was an African-American Muslim leader and human rights activist and a courageous advocate for the rights of blacks, a man who indicted white America in the harshest terms for its crimes against black Americans. Malcolm X is known as one of the greatest and most influential African Americans in history, IRNA reported.
The 6th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada kicked off in Tehran on Tuesday morning with the participation of 80 delegations from different world countries.
A number of 700 foreign guests and representatives of the pro-Palestinian organizations are taking part in the two-day event.
