ECO heads of states summit kicks off in Islamabad
EghtesadOnline: The 13th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit kicked off in Islamabad on Wednesday with the heads of the 10 members taking part.
Iranian president Hassan Rouhani and the other heads of states were welcomed by the prime minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif upon arrival at the hall.
According to ISNA, the summit is aimed at discussing economic and regional issues, as well as cooperation in key fields. The heads of states will also review the measures taken based on the communiqué of the 12th ECO Summit held in Baku in 2012.
Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan are full members of ECO.
