Iran, Kazakhstan to expand banking cooperation
EghtesadOnline: The vice-governor of Iran’s central bank for foreign exchange affairs, Gholamali Kamyab during his visit to Astana met with the Kazakh investment minister Kassymbek Zhenis Mahmudovich and emphasized on bilateral banking cooperation.
During the visit, Kassymbek mentioned to Iran as Kazakhstan’s strategic partner and stressed on removing the obstacles on the way of developing bilateral relations especially in economic, trade and banking fields, ISNA reported.
Kamyab, who made the trip to Astana after the invitation of the Kazakhs, stressed on devising ways to expand bilateral relations in areas of trade and currency transactions. He also highlighted the importance of doing banking balances in trade via the national currencies of the two countries.
The two sides agreed to follow up the proposals made and the solutions offered in the meeting through a joint commission of experts and banking officials from both countries.
