Iran releases 15 Indian fishermen: India FM
EghtesadOnline: India Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj in a Monday Twitter message announced that Iran has released fifteen Indian fishermen from Tamil Nadu who had been detained in the country on October 20, 2016.
“I am happy to inform that Iran has released our 15 fishermen from Tamil Nadu. They were detained with their 3 Bahraini boats,” the message reads.
“I appreciate the good work by Indian Embassy in Iran.”
According to IRNA, the fishermen were captured due to illegal entry into Iran’s waters.
