Areva, ENCONET sign agreement for improving Iran's nuclear safety

ENCONET is a Vienna-based technical services company, established in 1994 which is including countries such as Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia and the Czech. It provides a comprehensive range of analytical safety expertise to commercial and governmental bodies associated with the peaceful use of nuclear energy. Its customers include power plant designers/vendors, utilities, and regulators. ENCONET also provides advisory and project management services to international institutions supporting nuclear safety and security improvements in Europe and elsewhere around the world, according to ISNA.

Areva is a French multinational group specializing in nuclear power and renewable energy. It participated in this agreement to improve the safety of Bushehr plant. Areva branch in Germany is the country that participates in this agreement.

Confirming the signing of this agreement, advisor to president of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Naser Rastkhah said: “the intended cost for implementation of the contract is about 5 million euro which will be provided by European Union”.
