Record High Investment in Southern Kerman
EghtesadOnline: More than 23.54 trillion rials ($627 million) worth of investments have been made in industrial projects located in the south of Kerman Province since President Hassan Rouhani took office in August 2013, the head of South Kerman Industries, Mining and Trade Organization said.
“This amount accounts for 96% of all the investments ever made in southern Kerman,” Mahmoud Eskandari-Nasab was quoted as saying by IRNA.
The official noted that close to 370 factories producing a wide range of products, including tomato paste, mineral water, apparel, furniture, wooden ornaments, chemicals, fertilizers and plastic, are to be established in southern Kerman as per new investments, which will create nearly 8,000 direct jobs.
The South Kerman Industries, Mining and Trade Organization oversees 7 counties in the southeastern Iranian province, according to Financial Tribune.
