Iran tendency to revive commercial ties with Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia

EghtesadOnline: Increasing trade transactions with Iraq and Oman and reviving of commercial relations with some of Arab countries such as Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia during the next 11 month are part of Iranian foreign trade sector’s agenda.

“Boosting commercial relations with Oman and Iraq is in the agenda same as previous year, “Director General of the Arab-African States Department at Iran Trade Promotion Organization Farzad Piltan said in an interview with ISNA, pointing that trade ties between Iran and Oman nearly doubled on previous year and Tehran is trying to deepen the relations through joint investments, engineering services and export promotion.

“Export promotion will take place through new cooperation such as engineering services, joint industrial services and joint commercial cooperation with Iraqis,” he added about Iran’s trade relations with Iraq.

According to the official, reactivation of projects stalled because of security issues that Isis had created has been considered.

“Trade relations with countries such as Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia reduced and we tendency to revive the relations with them,” Piltan said about reviving commercial relations with some of Arab countries which reduced due to security issues.
