Iran, Georgia sign 6 cooperation documents

During the visit to Tehran, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met Iranian first vice president Es’hagh Jahangiri at Saadabad Palace in Tehran on Saturday morning.

The signed documents pertained to agriculture, ICT, environment, youth and sport and industrial sectors, ISNA reported.

Agriculture cooperation was signed by Iranian agriculture minister Mahmoud Hojjati and Georgian foreign minister Mikheil Janelidze.

Iranian minister of sports and youth Masoud Soltanifar also signed a cooperation agreement with Janelidze.

Iranian minister of IT and communication Mahmoud Vaezi and Georgian ministry of economy and sustainable development Dimitri Kumsishvili signed another agreement.

A joint statement was also signed between Iran's Environmental Protection Organization (IEPO) and Georgian ministry of environment and natural resources.

In addition, two more cooperation documents were signed between private sectors of the two countries over establishment of a refinery complex as well as a factory for production of ceramic in Georgia.
