Iranian artists among members of Oscars 2017
EghtesadOnline: The Academy Awards in a list announced its new members among whom were a number of the Iranian artists and film-makers.
Compared with previous editions, Oscars listed the names of 774 members for 2017, IRNA reported.
The Oscars act in breaking the record of the previous year which was 683 people, faced criticism by Hollywood Reporter, or THR is a multi-platform American digital and print magazine founded in 1930. It focuses on the Hollywood motion picture, television, and entertainment industries, as well as Hollywood's intersection with fashion, finance, law, technology, lifestyle, and politics.
The Oscar Award is granted by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), to the best works of cinema industry.
Iranian prominent producer Asghar Farhadi has won the Oscar foreign movie award twice.
