State institutes banned to buy 114 more foreign products
EghtesadOnline: President Rouhani's cabinet in a session on Sunday evening added 114 new commodities to the list of banned foreign items which could not be purchased by state institutes.
The banned foreign items resemble goods produced in Iran, and the decision has been made to support national production, reported Presidential Office website.
Efforts have been underway for a long time to replace domestically-produced goods with their foreign counterparts in a bid to promote production and generate jobs for the youth, IRNA reported.
The issue has been given a new momentum after the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution designated the current Iranian year as the ‘Year of Production and Employment’ in line with Economy of Resistance.
