Iran supplying 6% of Syria drugs

EghtesadOnline: Iranian firms are supplying 6% of the Syrian drug market, Head of the Association of Syrian Pharmacists Mahmoud Hassan said.

Hassan made the remarks Monday in an interview with Syrian Newspaper ' Al-Watan'.

Iranian firms provide 6% of those drugs which are suitable for cancer and kidney diseases, he said.

According to IRNA, Hassan stressed on Iran's readiness to solve any shortage of drugs in Syria.

He expressed hope for the first pharmaceutical conference of Iran and Syria slated to be held in Damascus to bring about growth in Iran-Syria cooperation.

The event is scheduled to be held with the attendance of over 30 pharmaceutical firms in October.
