BMI Holds AML Workshop
EghtesadOnline: Bank Melli Iran is holding an anti-money laundering workshop, tutored by educators from Philip-Sydney, a multi-disciplinary consulting and training firm specializing in Financial Crime Prevention, which is based in the Netherlands.
At the workshop’s opening ceremony in Tehran on Saturday, Gholamreza Panahi, BMI’s board member and deputy for foreign exchange and international affairs, noted that complying with both domestic and international banking standards tops Bank Melli’s agenda, the bank’s official website reported.”Holding workshops like this is significantly positive for acknowledging the most recent international banking regulations and our bankers should make the most of this opportunity,” Panahi said. Three tutors from Philip-Sydney are conducting the workshop for three days, according to Financial Tribune.
