Tehran, Baku review goods, passenger transit issues
EghtesadOnline: Iranian and Azeri officials in a meeting in the Azerbaijan capital discussed the issues pertaining to transportation of commodities and passengers between the two neighboring nations.
Head of transit and international transportation of Iran Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization Reza Nafisi and his Azeri counterpart Habib Hassanov met in Baku on Friday and examined the problems faced by the two countries in the area of transit of goods and passengers.
According to IRNA, both sides also held talks on the current situation of international road transportation between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic and also development of transit relations in the future.
The Iranian and Azeri officials also stressed creating transit corridors and using the international Green Card System.
An International Motor Insurance Card System is an arrangement between authorities and insurance organizations of multiple states to ensure that victims of road traffic accidents do not suffer from the fact that injuries or damage sustained by them were caused by a visiting motorist rather than a motorist resident in the same country.
