Karbasian Reappointed IMIDRO Chief
EghtesadOnline: Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari has reappointed Mehdi Karbasian as the head of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization and his deputy.
Karbasian was first appointed as deputy minister of industries and head of IMIDRO in August 2013 by the previous industries minister, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, Tasnim News Agency reported. IMIDRO is Iran’s largest mining holding company controlling a significant number of the country’s major mining companies, including but not limited to National Iranian Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, South Aluminum Company and Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company, according to Financial Tribune.
