IMF, NDFI Convene in Tehran
EghtesadOnline: A delegation from the International Monetary Fund met with officials from the National Development Fund of Iran on Saturday.
During the meeting convened at the IMF team’s request, NDFI’s board member and deputy head of Foreign Investments Department explained all structural and operational dimensions of NDFI along with the legal regulations related to using the fund’s resources and investment protocols. Salim Chakir, the IMF economist for the Middle East and Central Asia, appreciated the transparency and comprehensive information provided to their delegation by the NDFI officials. He looked forward to more meetings between NDFI’s representatives and IMF’s top officials. Representatives from the Central Bank of Iran also attended the meeting, Financial Tribune reported.
