17,550 Companies, Traders Engaged in Imports

Of the total number of importers, 3,900 entities had imports of more than $1 million, together accounting for more than 93% of Iran’s overall imports during the period. The list of importers included companies with licenses and those that are active under a well-known brand (89.3%) as well as veteran traders and well-known individuals (7.1%). Companies active in the automotive industry topped the list, followed by those importing basic goods, animal feed, petrochemicals, steel, pharmaceuticals and food, IRNA reported.
