Iranian weightlifter bags gold in US World Champs
EghtesadOnline: Iranian weightlifter Ali Hashemi in the 105-kilogram weight category snatched gold medal at World Championships at Anaheim, California, US.
Several weightlifters from Iran, Bulgaria, South Korea, Qatar, Egypt, Germany, the US, Uzbekistan and Lithuania participated in the championship.
According to IRNA, Hashemi lifted 178 kg and 183 kg weights in snatch field.
The 29-year-old Sohrab Moradi, who won gold in Rio last year, had managed to break two world records after an easy win over Lithuania’s Aurimas Didzbalis.
