Iran's Non-Oil Trade With India Grows 5%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded $4.98 billion worth of non-oil goods with India during the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2018), which is 5.13% higher compared to the year before, making the South Asian country Iran’s sixth biggest trading partner.

As per the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s data, Iran exported 9.79 million tons of commodities worth $2.73 billion to India last year, marking a 2.45% rise in tonnage and a 2.02% decrease in value year-on-year. The exports mainly included gas condensates, methanol, ethylene glycol and liquefied propane. India exported 1.78 million tons of goods worth $2.25 billion to Iran during the period under review, up 11.87% and 15.34% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. The imported goods from India to Iran included semi-milled rice, wholly-milled rice, aluminum oxide, rails, ferromanganese and tea, Financial Tribune reported.
