Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Singapore Increases by 36%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded $992.34 million worth of non-oil goods with Singapore during the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2018) which is 36.59% more compared to the year before, making the Southeast Asian country Iran’s 19th biggest trading partner.

As per the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s data, Iran exported 89,372 tons of commodities worth $42.68 million to Singapore last year, posting a 91.10% and 86.19% decline in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. The exports mainly included low-density oils, hydrocarbon fuel and pistachio. Singapore exported 2.21 million tons of goods worth $949.66 million to Iran during the period, up 217.86% and 127.54% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Iran mainly imported field corn, sunflower seed oil and soybean from Singapore last year, according to Financial Tribune.
