Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Thailand Up 53 Percent

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded $1.08 billion worth of non-oil goods with Thailand during the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2018)–53.17% more compared to the year before, making the Southeast Asian country Iran’s 17th biggest trading partner.

As per the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s data, Iran exported 1.78 million tons of commodities worth $730.51 million to Thailand last year, posting a 54.93% and 89.83% increase in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. The exports mainly included metal, non-alloyed steel and semi-finished metal and steel products. Thailand exported 582,644 tons of goods worth $349.54 million to Iran during the period under review, down 6.06% and up 9.13% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Iran mainly imported medium-density fiberboard, semi-milled rice, wholly-milled rice and tobacco from Thailand during the period, according to Financial Tribune.
