Iran's Non-Oil Trade Volume With Turkey Grows

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 1.15 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $1.29 billion with Turkey during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 3.71% growth in tonnage and a 10.56% decrease in value compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s statistics indicate.

Iran’s exports to Turkey stood at 725,750 million tons worth $551.19 million, up 38.36% and 12.82% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year.  Turkey was Iran’s seventh biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported semi-finished metal/steel products, urea and aluminum to Turkey during the four-month period. Meanwhile, Turkey exported 432,349 tons of goods worth $744,597 million to Iran, down 26.98% and 22.45% in tonnage and value respectively YOY.  Turkey was the sixth major exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included synchronous optical networking devices, cooking bananas and auto parts, according to Financial Tribune.
