Non-Oil Trade Value With Egypt Tops 80%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 298,616 tons of non-oil commodities worth $128.23 million with Egypt during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22).

According to the latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, this marks a 34.09% and 84.26% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period. Iran’s exports to Egypt stood at 298,453 tons worth $127.16 million, up 35.29% and 90.36% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Italy was Iran’s 14th biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported metal and steel ingots, as well as methanol to Egypt during the four-month period. Egypt exported 163 tons of goods worth $1.06 million to Iran, down 92.18% and 61.78% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Egypt was the 83rd exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included shaving blade and glassware, according to Financial Tribune.
