Iranian Delegation Discusses Economic Cooperation in Damascus
EghtesadOnline: A meeting between Syrian economic officials and an Iranian delegation was held in Damascus on Wednesday to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, attended by Hassan Danaeifar, Iranian first vice president’s advisor, and Syria’s Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Atef Naddaf, the two sides conferred on mechanisms for the activation and development of economic interactions, Mehr News Agency reported.
Facilitating the grounds for the transit of essential goods based on the two countries’ markets was also discussed during the meeting.
Naddaf stressed the need to boost cooperation in reconstruction projects with the help of Iranian contractors, according to Financial Tribune.
Danaeifar expressed Iran’s readiness to help develop sustainable economic cooperation between the two countries with the participation of the Iranian private sector in Syria’s reconstruction projects.
