TSE Early Rally Ends in Selloff
EghtesadOnline: Tehran stocks continued the previous session’s rally in the early hours of trade on Tuesday before retreating as sell side pressure mounted on large caps.
The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, climbed as high as 16,000 points in the early hours but closed 10,257 points higher. The TEDPIX gained 0.85% to end trading at 1,210,146.
About 7.94 billion shares valued at 89.41 trillion rials ($357.64 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.
North Drilling Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.87% to 7,220 rials per share. Tosee Meli Investment Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.87% to 10,100 rials per share.
Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Parsian Bank, Ofogh Koorosh Chain Stores Company and Tosee Meli Investment Company.
Esfahan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Tehran Oil Refining Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 32.52 points or 0.19% to close Tuesday trade at 17,119.03. About 1.26 billion securities valued at 79.76 trillion rials ($319.06m) were traded at the junior equity exchange for the day.
Pasargad Insurance Company, Day Bank, Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company and Kerman Province Development Investment Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Arfa Iron and Steel Company.
