Shares Lower as Selloff Weighs
EghtesadOnline: Tehran's share market was close to bucking a six-day declining trend Tuesday but a rally in the beginning of trading session ended in selloff.
Sell side pressure pushed the main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, into negative territory. The benchmark closed 1,949.6 points or 0.15% lower to end trade at 1,260,785.
About 3.53 billion shares valued at 55.81 trillion rials ($223.25 million) changed hands at the TSE for the day.
Iran Aluminum Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.9% to 17,410 rials per share. Beh Pardakht Mellat incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 3.98% to 34,010 rials per share.
Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company added the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Ghadir Investment Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.
Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark followed by the Social Security Investment Company, Tehran Oil Refining Company and Iran Aluminum Company.
IFB Flat
Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, closed at the flatline, losing 3.22 points or 0.02% to close Tuesday trade at 17,916.58.
Esfahan Steel Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company, Damavand Power Generation Company and Mehr Ayandegan Financial Development Group Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company gave the biggest boost to IFX followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company.
