Tehran Share Market Extends Winning Streak

The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX gained 25,580.27 points or 2.03% to end trade at 1,284,575.

As seen in the past three sessions, the Sunday rally was spearheaded by big caps while small caps lagged behind. 

The TSE-30 Index gained more than 2.7%, way higher than the 0.8% rise in the market’s equal-weighted index. The former index tracks the performance of top 30 publically traded companies in terms of market cap while the latter gives the same weight to all stocks. 

Retail investors accounted for 42.3 trillion rials ($151 million) or 67% of the total deals – up 40% compared with the  session before and the highest in two months. 

About 5.92 billion shares worth 42.84 trillion rials ($152.9 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 7.17% to 28,850 rials per share.

Kourosh Food Industry Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.94% to 38,290 rials per share.

Kourosh Food Industry Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Behshahr Industrial Development Company, Telecommunication Company of Iran and Padideh Shimi Gharn Company.

Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and National Iranian Copper Industries Company.

 

IFB Climbs 1%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 173.49 points or 1% to close Sunday trade at 17,529. About 3.91 billion shares and securities valued at 27.21 trillion rials ($97m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Minoo Industrial Group Company, Chlor Pars Company, Maadiran Industries Company and Rail Pardaz Noafarin Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Zagros Petrochemical Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Lavan Oil Refining Company.
