TEDPIX Slightly Higher

EghtesadOnline: The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, closed on Sunday slightly above the flatline, paring losses in the beginning of the session.

Amid rising demand for some large caps in the middle of the session, the market cap-weighted TEDPIX gained 2,379.29 points or 0.18% for the day to end at 1,335,312.

The TSE’s equal-weighted index dropped 0.1%, reflecting the performance of small-sized listed companies. 

About 6.44 billion shares worth 45.14 trillion rials ($173.6 million) changed hands at TSE on Sunday.

Damavand Mining Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 4.99% to 60,780 rials per share.

Pars Shahab Lamp Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.99% to 103,330 rials per share.

Social Security Investment Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Shiraz Petrochemical Company, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Development and Investment Group Company.

Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Tehran Oil Refining Company, Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company.

 

IFX Down 0.15%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 28.12 points or 0.15% to close Sunday trade at 18,152.

About 3.53 billion shares and securities worth 35.12 trillion rials ($135m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company, Bahman Diesel Company and Takhte Jamshid Petrochemical Industries Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Zagros Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Damavand Power Generation Company, Pasargad Insurance Company and Hormozgan Steel Company.
