Iran's food inflation rate decreases by 50%: World Bank
The World Bank (WB) in its latest report on Tuesday said the inflation rate of food in Iran has halved and dropped to 37.4 percent.
According to a report by the Iranian economy ministry quoting the World Bank report, in its latest report that examines food inflation in countries around the world, the bank announced the food inflation rate in Iran in the 12 months ending September 2023 decreased to 37.4 percent, indicating a 50% decrease as compared to last year.
According to this report, food inflation in Iran in the 12 months ending August 2023 was estimated at 38%.
Iran's food inflation rate in October 2022 was estimated by the World Bank at 71.4%.
Therefore, the WB statistics showed that foodstuff inflation in Iran has decreased both compared to last month and compared to last year. / MEHR
