Iran Inaugurates 6 Projects in ICT Field
On the occasion of the World Telecommunication Day (WTD), Iran launched six major projects in the field of Communications and Information Technology (ICT) and also a contract for purchasing relevant equipment from domestic suppliers.

Concluding 11 contracts for purchasing network equipment from domestic knowledge-based companies by telecommunications operators with the aim of supporting the production of high-tech telecommunications equipment, indigenizing National Information Network equipment in the year named “Production Jump with the People’s Participation” by Leader of the Islamic Revolution, inaugurating fiber optic project and startups in 20 cities of the country, starting the construction operation of the telecommunication project in 50 new cities, connecting 7,500 villages to the nationwide telecommunications network in the current administration with the aim of developing the communications justice in all parts of the country, inaugurating the national IP network development project and also the 1,800th site of the 5-G mobile phones were the main projects inaugurated in the field of ICT on Tuesday.
