Iran Ready to Export Electricity to 4 Neighbors: TAVANIR Chief
The ground has been set for Iran to export the electricity generated by renewables to four neighboring countries, an official said.
EghtesadOnline: Head of Iran’s Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution Company (TAVANIR) Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi revealed the possibility of exporting the electricity of the renewables to four countries with the existing transmission lines.
In a post on his X account, the TAVANIR chief pointed to his recent meeting with the Turkish Energy Exchange Company (EPİAŞ) and said the ground is set for the issuance of the license for exporting the electricity generated by the newly established solar power plants, IRNA reported.
Also, proper ground has been provided for the export of electricity through the available transmission lines to four neighboring states with a capacity of 300 megawatts, Rajabi Mashhadi stated.
The Turkish company and the Solar Power Plants’ Owners Association of this neighboring state welcomed the idea and called for further expansion of cooperation and interaction with Iran in this field, he added. / Tasnim
