The two sides discussed expansion of economic and diplomatic relations.

Zarif arrived in Abuja, Nigeria, on Sunday night at the head of a diplomatic and economic delegation, according to ISNA.

He is to meet with Nigerian president and parliament speaker and attend Iran-Nigeria joint economic commission meeting on Monday.

Zarif is in his tour of west Africa, which will take him to Ghana, Guinea Conakry and Mali after Nigeria.
