Speaking in a meeting with the Republic of Tatarstan deputy prime minister and economy minister on Tuesday, Mohammad Javad Sharifzadeh pointed to Iran’s firm determination to develop trade-economic cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan.
In this meeting, which was also attended by the deputy, adviser and the director general of office of the minister of economy and also senior managers of Kama Automobile Factory (KamAZ), Iran’s deputy minister of economy hailed the inauguration of the new building of Mir-Business Bank branch in Kazan in Tatarstan, saying the financial settlement of the trade exchanges between Iran and Tatarstan can be carried out through Mir Business Bank using the national currencies of the two sides.
The deputy prime minister of Tatarstan, for his part, noted that the Republic is one of the important economic sectors in the Russian Federation and its financial turnover reaches $65 million.
Shayakhmetov revealed the willingness of Russian President Vladimir Putin to increase interactions with the Islamic world’s countries.
He pointed to his visit to Iran’s first and second largest car manufacturing companies i.e. Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO) and SAIPA Automotive Manufacturing Group and said the two Iranian companies have indigenized almost 100 percent of producing auto parts and today, Tatarstan is eyeing to cooperate with these two industrial and production companies. / Tasnim
