EghtesadOnline: Imports constitute 90% of the perfume market in Iran, but since the government has banned its imports, illegal inflows of perfumes, just like other cosmetic products, will increase even more, says the deputy head of the Iranian Association of Cosmetics, Toiletries and Perfumery Importers.

EghtesadOnline: Import tariff on cosmetics will now rise by 10% to reach 26%, as per the new directive notified to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration by Ali Maqouli, the director of Center for Imports and Free Trade Zones Affairs of IRICA.

EghtesadOnline: A total of 13,765 tons of cosmetic products and toiletries worth $10.6 million were exported from Iran to 21 countries during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-Aug. 21), according to the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
