EghtesadOnline: Following plans to streamline the underperforming tax regime, the Central Bank of Iran has announced new restrictions on the use of point-of-sale (POS) terminals.

EghtesadOnline: The Iranian National Tax Administration has called on 50 guilds, including lawyers, legal and family consultants, real estate agencies, restaurants and coffee shops, hotels, confectionery stores and sports clubs, to apply for point-of-sale machines at https://tax.gov.ir as of Sept. 23.

EghtesadOnline: More than 1,300 point of sale terminals operating outside Iran have been blocked after the Central Bank of Iran enforced its decision to ban all such systems in foreign countries.
