EghtesadOnline: The plan to resume the use of fuel cards by car owners will come into effect in August with the aim of curbing fuel smuggling that has taken a turn for the worse over the past months.

EghtesadOnline: In a new directive issued by the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, car and motorcycle owners have been advised to use their fuel cards at least once by July 22.

EghtesadOnline: In the coming fiscal that begins in March, the government expects to generate 99 trillion rials ($926 million) from taxes and duties on car production and imports along with auto-related services plus traffic and driving tickets.
