EghtesadOnline: The government is unable to track vacant homes and levy taxes, a setback to its efforts to stop the galloping rise in residential rents , an official with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development said.

EghtesadOnline: The average residential rent across Iran’s urban areas increased by 50.6% in the fifth month of the current fiscal year (July 23-Aug. 22) compared with the corresponding period of last year.

EghtesadOnline: The residential rent index in Iran's urban areas (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 151.9 in summer, the second quarter of the current Iranian year (June 22-Sept.22), indicating a 23.1% rise compared with the same quarter of last year.
