EghtesadOnline: Transactions via electronic platforms declined in value and volume in the calendar month ending August 22, according to a report released by Shaparak, the Iranian card payment network.

EghtesadOnline: An estimated 3.74 billion retail transactions were logged by the domestic electronic payment network Shaparak in the eleventh month of the calendar year to Feb 22.

EghtesadOnline: Growth was noticeable in online payment gateways, up 14.35% from 669,343 to 765,391. Total POS terminals, used largely by retail outlets, increased 0.59% to 9.43 million devices while mobile payments declined 0.27% to 124,937

EghtesadOnline: Saman E-Pay topped the list of Middle East and Africa's largest acquirers in terms of the number of transactions. The company processed more than 7.7 billion transactions in 2021 emerging as the world's 13th largest.

EghtesadOnline: The government's Digital Economy Management Commission ordered Shaparak Company, the main e-payment network, to suspend new rules obliging payment facilitator applications to display the online trust logo ‘e-Namad’.

EghtesadOnline: The nationwide payment settlement network, Shaparak, processed approximately 2.76 billion payments worth 4,379.55 trillion rials ($16.8 billion) in the calendar month to Nov. 20.
