An official at Iranian Fisheries Organization says the country’s exports of farmed caviar has registered a 112 percent growth in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2024).

EghtesadOnline: Iran’s caviar exports stood at 2.28 tons worth $1.09 million in the fiscal 2020-21 (ended March 21, 2021), says Rouhollah Latifi, spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Customs Administration, adding that the figures provided recently by an Agriculture Ministry official were inaccurate.

EghtesadOnline: Of the 12 tons of caviar produced in Iran in the year ending March 2021, 4.5 tons worth $6 million were exported, Isa Golshahi, an official with Iran Fisheries Organization, said.
