EghtesadOnline: Iran's exports via railroads increased 55% during the 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2016-January 19, 2017) compared with the similar period of the previous year, according to director of Transit Commission at the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways, Hosssein Ashouri . He did not mention the volume of cargos exported during the period, type of commodities or export destinations. Iran has rail connections with Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Turkey and Iraq.
