EghtesadOnline: Holland-Iran Potato Seminar was held in Tehran on Tuesday with the aim of establishing joint ventures for producing seeds, creating varieties and transferring cultivation techniques.

EghtesadOnline: Director of Agricultural Jihad office in Keyar city Ebrahim Hematian said on Thursday that a contract to export 3,600 tons of potatoes to Iraq, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan has been signed.

EghtesadOnline: More than 79,000 tons of potatoes worth around $19.4 million were exported from Iran in the five months to Aug. 22, an official with the Ministry of Agriculture said.

EghtesadOnline: Some 4.99 million tons of potatoes are expected to be produced in the current fiscal year (March 2017-18) on close to 146,200 hectares of land in Iran, an official with the Agriculture Ministry said.

EghtesadOnline: Close to 5 million tons of potatoes are produced in Iran every year, which meets domestic demand and a portion of which is exported, Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture announced.
