Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi says Tehran insists on its “absolute” right to enrichment inside the country as per the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that every country has the legitimate right to defend itself against aggression and warned that the United States must adopt a clear position rejecting further hostile action if it truly seeks to resume diplomatic negotiations.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi lambasted German Chancellor Angela Merkel for her "unreal and unconstructive" remarks, and said Tehran's missile program doesn’t violate the UN Security Council resolution 2231.
