EghtesadOnline: Bank Mellat has reached an agreement with the Association of Bureaux de Change Operators of Iran, based on which authorized money exchangers will be able to enjoy several services from the lender.

EghtesadOnline: Although some called for allowing moneychangers to deal in virtual currencies, especially the ubiquitous Bitcoin, all Iranian bureaux de changes are currently prohibited from engaging in deals involving cryptocurrencies.

EghtesadOnline: The governor of the Central Bank of Iran emphasized the role of moneychangers in the foreign exchange market, saying that the regulator is not seeking to remove them from the Iranian economy.

EghtesadOnline: The Central bank of Iran is determined to navigate moneychangers back to their original activities and leave banking operations to banks, said the head of the Department for Banking Supervision at CBI.
