Chocolate, Pastry Exports Grow 21%

EghtesadOnline: Around 513,000 tons of chocolate and pastry worth $615 million were exported from Iran during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2017-Feb. 19), registering a 121% and 21% growth in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year.

EghtesadOnline: Close to 314,000 tons of chocolate and pastry worth about $440 million were exported from Iran during the first eight months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Nov. 21, 2017), registering a 92.5% and 25.7% growth respectively compared with the similar period of last year.

Duty-Free Chocolate, Biscuit Exports to EEU

EghtesadOnline: Based on an agreement between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union, exports of Iranian biscuit and chocolate to the EEU member states will be exempt from customs duties, a deputy minister of industries, mining and trade said on Wednesday.
